Services

EMS provides a wide range of services from Breakdown and repairs, LEV and dust extraction to Training and support.

Breakdown and repairs

EMS understands the loss of machinery due to breakdown could have potentially serious consequences to your business so having the right technical support available for machinery repairs is essential.

With our Engineer call out service we look to identify the problem as quickly as possible to get your machine in working order.

SERVICING

Rather than waiting for machinery or equipment to break down and have our team “reactively” repair the issue, EMS recommends 6 or 12 monthly machinery maintenance.

The machine service will include an inspection for worn parts, machine cleaning and lubrication, resetting of bed-plates, fences and spindles and an after-service report providing a list of any defects.

Along with the machine service we include health and safety inspections to help ensure your equipment is operating safely and in compliance with PUWER.

Removals and Relocations

EMS undertake all types of machine removals and relocations.

Our removal relocation service consists of the disconnecting and dismantling of your machinery, removal from your existing site and transportation to any destination in the UK. Your machines will then be re-positioned in the new site location, reassembled and commissioned.

Work will be carried out by qualified electrical engineers and machine movers.

Modifications and Upgrades

EMS can help in bringing your machinery up to PUWER government standards.

Older types of machinery although in good working order can under new health and safety regulations and PUWER updates be illegal to operate without modification.

We offer all types of modifications and upgrades for older equipment including braking systems, new guarding and interlocks and emergency stop devices.

Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems and testing

Along with our machinery services we have experience in local exhaust ventilation or L.E.V. systems as they are more commonly known.

We can survey your current production process and offer free impartial advice on existing system optimization, existing system upgrades or completely new installations.

The majority of dust extraction systems will fall under the C.O.S.H.H. regulations 2005 and are therefore an engineering control device, it is a legal requirement for LEV systems to be checked by a competent person at least every 14 months to ensure it is operating correctly.

We can also offer Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) Testing by a qualified P601 engineers with a LEV report detailing your systems performance.
